Focaccia Bread

Method

Focaccia Bread Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and garlic powder. Add activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape Focaccia

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it into a greased baking sheet. Dimple the surface with your fingers.

  6. 6

    Add Toppings

Drizzle olive oil over the top, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and let it rest for another 20 minutes.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool.

Assembling the Club

  1. 8

    Prepare Ingredients

While the focaccia is cooling, prepare the ham, turkey, cheese, red onion, tomato, and bacon.

  2. 9

    Slice Focaccia

Once the focaccia is cooled, slice it horizontally to create two layers.

  3. 10

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of the focaccia, layer sliced ham, turkey, jack cheese, red onion, tomato slices, and bacon.

  4. 11

    Add Dressing

Drizzle Caesar dressing over the top of the ingredients.

  5. 12

    Top and Serve

Place the top half of the focaccia back on and cut into portions. Serve immediately.
