Method

Blackened Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Coat both sides of each fillet with blackening seasoning.

  2. 2

    Cook the Salmon

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the salmon is charred and cooked through. Remove from heat and let rest.

Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet used for the salmon, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Vegetables

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash the romaine lettuce and tear it into bite-sized pieces. Slice the tomato and avocado.

Roasted Garlic Balsamic Aioli

  1. 5

    Make the Aioli

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, roasted garlic (mashed), balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the BLTA

Toast the ciabatta bread slices. Spread a generous amount of roasted garlic balsamic aioli on one side of each slice. On one slice, layer the blackened salmon, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Top with the other slice of bread, aioli side down, and slice in half before serving.
