Pickling Ingredients

Method

Pickling Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash all the vegetables thoroughly. Cut the cucumbers into spears or slices, carrots into thin sticks, radishes in half, and break the cauliflower into smaller florets.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Brine

In a saucepan, combine the water, white vinegar, salt, sugar, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, stirring until the salt and sugar dissolve.

  3. 3

    Pack the Jars

In clean, sterilized jars, layer the prepared vegetables with garlic cloves and fresh dill. Leave some space at the top of the jars.

  4. 4

    Add the Brine

Pour the hot brine over the packed vegetables, ensuring they are fully submerged. Leave about half an inch of headspace at the top of the jar.

  5. 5

    Seal and Cool

Seal the jars with lids while the brine is still hot. Allow the jars to cool to room temperature before storing them in the refrigerator.

  6. 6

    Let it Pickle

For best results, let the pickles sit in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before consuming. They will be even better after a week!
