Cooking the Hot Dogs
Deep Frying
If you prefer deep-fried, heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Dip each hot dog in the cornbread batter and carefully place it in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.
Serving
Assemble the Frankfurters
Place each hot dog into a foot-long bun. Serve with your choice of sauces on the side for dipping or drizzling.
