Method

Biscuit Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Cut in Butter

Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. 4

    Add Milk

Make a well in the center and pour in the milk. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Shape Biscuits

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently. Pat to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.

  6. 6

    Bake

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Country Gravy Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook Sausage

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 8

    Make Roux

Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir well to coat. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.

  3. 9

    Add Milk

Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 10

    Season

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Keep warm until serving.

Home Fries Preparation

  1. 11

    Prepare Potatoes

Wash and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Chop the onion and bell pepper.

  2. 12

    Cook Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes, onion, and bell pepper.

  3. 13

    Season and Fry

Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden and tender.

Egg Preparation

  1. 14

    Cook Eggs

In a small frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan.

  2. 15

    Season and Cook

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook the eggs to your liking (sunny-side up, over-easy, scrambled, etc.).
