Toppings

Method

Pulled Pork

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Slow Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily shredded.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Mix in the blueberry BBQ sauce until well combined.

Mac & Cheese

  1. 4

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens. Stir in the smoked gouda cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 6

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until fully coated.

Assembly

  1. 7

Combine Pulled Pork and Mac & Cheese

Serve the mac and cheese topped with the pulled pork mixture. Garnish with crispy shallots for added crunch.
