Base Ingredients

Add-Ons

Method

Preparation of Base

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add the milk, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble but not brown.

Cooking the Omelette

  1. 3

    Pour the Egg Mixture

Pour the whisked egg mixture into the skillet, tilting the pan to ensure the mixture covers the bottom evenly.

  2. 4

    Add the Add-Ons

As the edges start to set, sprinkle your choice of add-ons (cheese, spinach, tomatoes, onion, peppers, mushrooms, bacon, ham, steak, sausage) evenly over half of the omelette.

  3. 5

    Fold the Omelette

Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, carefully fold the omelette in half over the fillings using a spatula.

  4. 6

    Finish Cooking

Let the folded omelette cook for an additional minute to melt the cheese and heat the fillings through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Omelette

Gently slide the omelette onto a plate. Optionally, garnish with extra herbs or cheese.

  2. 8

    Serve Hot

Serve the omelette hot with additional sides like toast or a salad if desired.
