Method

Waffle Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.

  4. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. 5

    Cook Waffles

Once preheated, pour the appropriate amount of batter (usually about 1 cup) onto the center of the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy, usually about 5 minutes.

Assembly and Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Waffles

Carefully remove the waffles from the waffle iron and place them on a serving plate.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

Top each waffle with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, followed by a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a generous dollop of whipped cream.

  3. 8

    Add Fruit

Slice the bananas or strawberries and arrange them around or on top of the waffles for added flavor and presentation.

  4. 9

    Serve Immediately

Serve the waffles warm, and enjoy with a fork and knife or as finger food!
