Method

Preparing Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

  2. 2

    Drain the Pasta

Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and set aside.

Cooking Seafood

  1. 3

    Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Add Cherry Tomatoes

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften.

  3. 5

    Deglaze with White Wine

Pour in the white wine, stirring to deglaze the pan. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  4. 6

    Cook Seafood

Add shrimp, mussels, and calamari to the skillet. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened and the shrimp are pink.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 7

    Toss Pasta with Sauce

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the seafood and sauce. Toss well to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired consistency.

  2. 8

    Season and Garnish

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and stir in fresh basil before serving.
