Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon filet dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps in achieving a better grill mark and prevents sticking.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this mixture evenly over the salmon filet.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Lemon

Cut the lemon in half. One half will be used for squeezing over the salmon while grilling, and the other half can be served as a garnish.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). Make sure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.

  2. 5

    Grill the Salmon

Place the seasoned salmon filet skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes. Flip the salmon gently and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 6

    Squeeze Lemon

During the last minute of grilling, squeeze the juice from one half of the lemon over the salmon for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Salmon

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and place it on a serving plate. Garnish with the other half of the lemon and serve immediately.
