Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Form into a patty that is about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side until nicely browned. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness or until desired doneness is reached.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 3

    Layer the Ingredients

On a plate, start with two lettuce leaves as the base. Place the cooked burger patty on top. Add a slice of cheddar cheese, a slice of tomato, and pickles.

  2. 4

    Add Condiments

Top with ketchup and mustard according to your taste preferences.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 5

    Steam the Broccoli

In a pot, bring water to a boil and place a steamer basket over it. Add the broccoli florets, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green.

  2. 6

    Cook the Sweet Potato Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut sweet potatoes into fries, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy.
