Main Ingredients

Method

Chicken Fingers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Start by cutting the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Stations

In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and mix the breadcrumbs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first in flour, shaking off excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each piece is well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot, about 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, frying them in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the chicken fingers from the oil and drain them on a paper towel. Serve hot.

Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 8

    Soak the Fries

Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 9

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 10

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the soaked and drained fries to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 11

    Season and Drain

Remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while they are still hot.
