Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Grill or Fry

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Prepare the Fries

  1. 5

    Cut Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips for frying.

  2. 6

    Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Remove fries from oil, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt to taste.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 9

    Prepare Toppings

Slice the tomato and get the lettuce, pickles, ketchup, and mustard ready.

  2. 10

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
