Cooking the Patties

Cook the Beef Patties
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted and bubbling, add the beef patties. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. Add a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty before you remove them from the skillet, allowing the cheese to melt.

Build the Sandwich
Spread 1 tablespoon of Russian dressing on one side of each slice of marbled rye bread. On two slices, layer the cooked patties with melted Swiss cheese, followed by the sautéed onions and mushrooms. Top with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.

Serve
Once grilled to perfection, remove from the skillet and cut in half. Serve hot with extra Russian dressing on the side for dipping if desired.
