Burger Patties

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck beef with jerk seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined, but be careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and red onion. Wash and prepare the lettuce leaf.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Chipotle Mayonnaise

If you don’t have pre-made chipotle mayonnaise, mix mayonnaise with a small amount of chipotle sauce to taste.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the potato burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

Spread a generous amount of chipotle mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty on top, followed by the sliced tomato, red onion, and lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun.
