Method

Preparation of Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a bowl, mix the ground chuck with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.

Cooking Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon (optional)

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Toast the Bun

While the patty is cooking, toast the potato bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place the lettuce leaf. Add the cooked patty and layer with tomato, pickles, red onion, and cheese. If using, add the crispy bacon on top of the cheese.

  3. 6

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and press gently to secure. Serve immediately.
