Hashbrowns

Eggs and Toast

Method

Hashbrowns Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the chopped onion, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

  3. 3

    Add Hashbrowns

Add the frozen shredded hashbrowns to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the hashbrowns are crispy and golden brown. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Bacon

Once the hashbrowns are cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon over the top. Cover the skillet and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Eggs and Toast Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your preferred doneness (sunny side up, over easy, etc.), about 3-5 minutes.

  2. 6

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a grill pan until golden brown.
