Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mint

Rinse the fresh mint leaves under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities. Gently pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Brewing

  1. 3

    Steep the Mint

Once the water has reached a boil, remove the pot from heat. Add the rinsed mint leaves to the hot water and cover the pot with a lid. Let the mint leaves steep for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor to be.

  2. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea into a teapot or directly into cups, discarding the mint leaves.

  3. 5

    Sweeten (optional)

If desired, stir in honey or sugar to taste while the tea is still warm. Mix well until fully dissolved.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Pour the hot mint tea into cups and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing mint tea!
