Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly. Chop it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

2

Chop the Onion and Fennel

Slice the red onion thinly and add it to the bowl. Cut the fennel bulb in half, remove the core, and slice it thinly. Add to the salad bowl.

3

Add Fruits and Veggies

Peel and segment the orange, discarding the seeds and any white pith. Cut the segments into smaller pieces and add to the bowl. Halve the cherry tomatoes and cucumber, then add them to the bowl.

4

Incorporate Cheese and Salami

Add the shaved parmesan cheese and sliced Smoking Goose salami to the salad bowl.

5

Add Pepperoncini

Add the pepperoncini to the bowl, either whole or sliced based on your preference.

Optional Protein Addition

6

Prepare Protein

If you are adding a protein, prepare it according to your choice. Grill the chicken breast and slice it into strips, drain the canned tuna, or rinse the chickpeas if using canned.

7

Combine Protein

Place the chosen protein on top of the salad right before serving.

Serving

8

Toss and Serve

Just before serving, toss the salad gently to combine all ingredients. Serve immediately.
