Caramelized Sugar Crust

Grilled Bread

Method

Brie Cream Preparation

  1. 1

    Whip the Brie

In a mixing bowl, combine the Brie cheese, honey, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Caramelized Sugar Crust

  1. 2

    Prepare the Sugar Crust

Sprinkle the granulated sugar evenly over the top of the whipped Brie mixture in a small oven-safe dish. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it turns golden brown and bubbly. If you don't have a torch, you can broil it in the oven for a few minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

Toppings Assembly

  1. 3

    Add Toppings

Once the sugar crust is caramelized, sprinkle the crushed pistachios over the top. Place the cocktail cherries on top for garnish. Serve with a side of strawberry jam.

Grilled Bread Preparation

  1. 4

    Grill the Bread

Slice the baguette or crusty bread into 1-inch thick slices. Brush both sides with olive oil. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and grill the bread slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden and crispy.
