Preparing Hamburger Steak

Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

Making Gravy

Prepare Gravy Base
In the same skillet used for the patties, add beef broth and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer.

Thicken Gravy
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Slowly add this mixture to the simmering broth while stirring until the gravy thickens. Season with black pepper.

Return the hamburger steaks to the skillet and coat them in the gravy. Keep warm.

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice and stir.

In a pot, cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine cooked macaroni, cooled potatoes, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and chopped green onions. Mix well to combine.
