Furikake Musubi
Corned Beef Hash Patty or Fresh Fish
Method
Furikake Musubi Preparation
- 1
Cook Sushi Rice
Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 2
Season the Rice
Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl. Mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until dissolved, then gently fold this mixture into the rice with a wooden spatula. Allow the rice to cool to room temperature.
- 3
Form the Musubi
Lay a piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface. Place a portion of the seasoned sushi rice on the plastic wrap and press it into a rectangle. Sprinkle with furikake seasoning and top with a slice of nori. Fold the plastic wrap over the rice and shape it into a rectangle. Repeat with the remaining rice.
