Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour in the warm water, melted butter, and beaten egg. Stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture starts to come together.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shaping and Baking

  1. 4

    Shape the Rolls

Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the gas. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 5

    Second Rise

Cover the shaped rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes until they puff up.

  3. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  4. 7

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  5. 8

    Bake the Rolls

Once the rolls have risen, spread the garlic butter mixture over the top of the rolls. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

  6. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
