Hamburger Steak

Method

Hamburger Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a bowl, combine ground beef, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, chopped green onions, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Fried Rice

  1. 4

    Scramble the Eggs

In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium heat. Whisk the eggs and pour them into the pan. Cook until scrambled, then set aside.

  2. 5

    Cook the Fried Rice

In the same pan, add the cooked rice, peas and carrots, and soy sauce. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until heated through. Add the scrambled eggs and chopped green onions, mixing well.

Gravy

  1. 6

    Make the Gravy

In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, soy sauce, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

  2. 7

    Thicken the Gravy

In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Gradually add this to the simmering broth, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens. Remove from heat.

Salad

  1. 8

    Prepare the Salad

In a bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Drizzle with your choice of salad dressing and toss gently.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

On a large plate, place three scoops of fried rice. Top with a hamburger steak patty, then drizzle gravy over the steak. Place two fried eggs on the side and add a scoop of salad next to it.
