Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Marinade

  1. 1

    Mix the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the hibachi NY steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the steak is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Heat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure it's well-oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and place it on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 5

    Scramble the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk the two eggs with a pinch of salt. In a non-stick skillet, add a bit of oil and heat over medium heat. Pour in the eggs and stir gently until scrambled and just set, about 2-3 minutes.

Serving the Dish

  1. 6

    Plate the Components

On a plate, serve the sliced hibachi NY steak alongside the scrambled eggs and a generous portion of cooked jasmine rice.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle sliced green onions and sesame seeds over the steak for added flavor and presentation.
