Method

Prep the Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash the lettuce thoroughly and dry it. Slice the tomato into thick slices and the onion into thin rings. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Pickles

Slice the pickles into thin rounds if not pre-sliced and set aside.

Cook the Burger Patty

  1. 3

    Form the Patty

Take the 0.5 lb of Angus beef and shape it into a round patty, making it slightly larger than the bun as it will shrink while cooking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the patty with salt and pepper on both sides. Place the patty on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patty and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Build the Burger

On a burger bun, layer the lettuce first, followed by the cooked Angus beef patty. Add the tomato slices, onion rings, and pickles on top.

  2. 6

    Add Condiments

Add ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise to taste, if desired.
