Method

Cooking the Beef

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all ingredients and have them ready for cooking.

2

Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

3

Cook Onion and Garlic

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.

4

Brown the Beef

Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Cook while breaking it up with a spatula until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

5

Season the Beef

Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning over the cooked beef and mix well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Assembling the Tacos

6

Warm the Tortillas

In a separate skillet or on a grill, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

7

Fill the Tacos

Take a warmed tortilla and add a generous scoop of the beef mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.

8

Garnish

Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top and serve with lime wedges on the side.
