Method
Marinating Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Whisk until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add the chicken breast fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
Preparing the Breading
- 3
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly combined.
- 4
Breading the Chicken
- 5
Coat the Chicken
Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg wash, and finally coat again in the flour mixture.
Frying the Chicken
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- 7
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, turning occasionally.
- 8
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
