Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the crust

Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Make sure to pack it down firmly to create a solid base.

  3. 3

    Bake the crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it is lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 5

Add the sugar and sour cream

Add the granulated sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

  3. 6

    Incorporate eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 7

    Add flour

Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix on low speed until combined. The batter should be smooth and lump-free.

Baking

  1. 8

    Combine and bake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the same preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  2. 9

    Cool and chill

Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.

Topping (optional)

  1. 10

    Prepare the topping

If desired, top the chilled cheesecake with fresh sliced strawberries and drizzle the strawberry glaze over the top before serving.
