Bourbon Whiskey and Root Beer

Preparation of the Drink

Mixing the Drink
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of bourbon whiskey with ice. Shake well for about 15 seconds to chill the whiskey.

Adding the Root Beer
Strain the chilled bourbon into a highball glass filled with ice. Carefully add 4 oz of house-made root beer on top. Stir gently to mix.
Optional Float Preparation

Adding Ice Cream
If making it a float, top the drink with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream.

Finishing Touches
Add a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with a cherry on top.
