Cheese Curds
Dipping Sauce
Method
Cheese Curds Preparation
- 1
Prepare Cheese Curds
In a medium bowl, combine the white cheddar cheese curds, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the cheese curds are evenly coated with the seasonings.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place the all-purpose flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. First, coat each cheese curd in flour, then dip it in the egg, and finally roll it in breadcrumbs. Ensure each curd is fully covered.
- 3
Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; it should sizzle immediately.
- 4
Fry Cheese Curds
Carefully add the breaded cheese curds to the hot oil in batches. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Dipping Sauce Preparation
- 5
Mix Dipping Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, hot sauce, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as desired.
- 6
Serve
Serve the crispy garlic cheese curds hot with the prepared dipping sauce on the side.
