Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Ensure the pork is evenly coated with the spices.

Slow Roast the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a roasting pan. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 6-8 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

Prepare the Buns
While the pork is resting, split the top buns and toast them lightly if desired.

Assemble the Sandwich
Place a generous amount of pulled BBQ pork on the bottom half of each bun. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Cover with the top half of the buns and serve immediately while hot.
