Chicken Preparation

Buffalo Sauce (optional)

Method

Chicken Preparation

1

Prepare the Chicken

Start by rinsing the chicken wings under cold water and patting them dry with a paper towel.

2

Season the Wings

In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Cooking the Chicken

3

Bake or Fry the Wings

You can either bake or fry the wings. For baking, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the wings on a baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through. For frying, heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C) and fry the wings for about 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.

Making BBQ Sauce (optional)

4

Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce.

5

Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Let it cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Making Buffalo Sauce (optional)

6

Melt Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

7

Mix with Hot Sauce

Once melted, stir in the hot sauce and garlic powder. Add salt to taste. Heat through until combined.

Coating the Wings

8

Toss the Wings

Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven or fryer. Depending on your preference, toss them in either the BBQ sauce or buffalo sauce to coat evenly.

Serving

9

Plate the Wings

Serve the wings hot, garnished with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing if desired.
