Prepare the French Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the loaf of French bread in half horizontally and place it on a baking sheet.

Cook the Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Season the Beef
Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef. Stir well to combine, then pour in the beef stock. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Layer the Ingredients
Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly onto the cut side of each French bread half. Sprinkle cheddar cheese generously on top of the beef.

Bake the Horseshoes
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving

Add Toppings
Remove the horseshoes from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Top with diced tomatoes, pickles, sliced jalapeños, sour cream, and green onions.
