Method

Preparation

1

Cook the Meat

In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef and chorizo sausage over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

2

Sauté Vegetables

Add the chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper, and jalapeño to the pot. Sauté for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.

Cooking

3

Add Tomatoes and Beans

Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and black beans. Mix well to combine.

4

Season the Chili

Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and oregano to the pot. Stir to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.

5

Simmer

Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir the mixture and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving

6

Serve Hot

Once the chili has thickened and the flavors have melded, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with your choice of toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions.
