Chicken Marinade

Buns

Method

Chicken Marinade

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.

2

Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

BBQ Sauce

3

Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

4

Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for about 15 minutes until slightly thickened.

Grilling the Chicken

5

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

6

Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and place on the grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

7

Add BBQ Sauce

During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the chicken with the prepared BBQ sauce, allowing it to caramelize slightly.

Assembling the Burger

8

Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.

9

Assemble the Burger

Place the grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun. Top with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles. Finish with the top half of the bun.
