For the Poppers

Method

Preparing the Poppers

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Wash the jalapeño peppers. Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes using a small spoon or knife.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, crumbled cooked bacon, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.

  4. 4

    Fill the Peppers

Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, making sure to pack it in generously.

Baking the Poppers

  1. 5

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the filled jalapeño poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are not touching each other.

  2. 6

    Bake the Poppers

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  3. 7

    Add Toppings

Once baked, remove the poppers from the oven. Sprinkle additional crumbled bacon over the top of each popper.

Serving

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Serve the poppers hot with a side of sour cream, sliced green onions, and hot sauce for dipping.
