Chicken Bites

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces (about 1-2 inches in size) and place them in a bowl.

  2. 2

    Season the Chicken

Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the chicken pieces. Mix well to ensure all pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning.

  3. 3

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, place the all-purpose flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and bread crumbs in the third.

Breading and Cooking

  1. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Take each piece of seasoned chicken and first coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any extra egg to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the bread crumbs, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well.

  2. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. The oil should be hot enough that a breadcrumb sizzles when dropped in.

  3. 6

    Fry the Chicken Bites

Carefully place the breaded chicken pieces in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 7

    Drain Excess Oil

Once cooked, remove the chicken bites from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
