Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prep the Ingredients

Dice the onion and tomato, slice the black olives and jalapeños, and shred any cooked meats you intend to use.

  2. 2

    Cook the Proteins (if applicable)

If using chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, cook it in a pan over medium heat until it’s no longer pink, and then shred it. For seasoned beef or fajita steak strips, cook them according to package instructions or until desired doneness.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Layer the Nachos

On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out the tortilla chips evenly.

  2. 4

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle the diced onions, tomatoes, sliced black olives, and jalapeños over the chips. Then, evenly distribute the shredded cheese on top.

  3. 5

    Add Protein (if desired)

If you are using any of the optional proteins, layer them on top of the cheese.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Nachos

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the nachos in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Warm

Remove the nachos from the oven, and serve immediately with a side of sour cream.
