Method

Classic Martini

    Prepare the Glass

    Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water. Let it sit while you prepare the cocktail.

    Combine Ingredients

    In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of gin and 0.5 oz of dry vermouth.

    Shake with Ice

    Add 5 ice cubes to the shaker, then shake well for about 15 seconds.

    Strain and Serve

    Empty the ice water from the martini glass and strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

    Garnish

    Garnish with a single olive placed on a skewer or dropped into the drink.

Margarita

    Prepare the Glass

    Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass and dip it in salt to coat the rim.

    Combine Ingredients

    In a shaker, add 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of lime juice, and 1 oz of triple sec.

    Shake with Ice

    Add 5 ice cubes to the shaker, then shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

    Serve

    Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.

    Garnish

    Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.

Old Fashioned

    Muddle Ingredients

    In a glass, muddle 1 sugar cube with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters and a few drops of water until dissolved.

    Add Bourbon

    Add 2 oz of bourbon to the glass.

    Add Ice

    Fill the glass with 3 ice cubes and stir gently to combine the ingredients.

    Garnish

    Garnish with a strip of orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink before adding it.
