Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
To the melted butter, add granulated sugar and brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Then add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 7
Bake the Brownies
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool the Brownies
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving Instructions
- 9
Slice the Brownies
Once cooled, slice the brownies into squares.
- 10
Serve with Ice Cream
Place a brownie square on a plate, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and drizzle with chocolate syrup. Optionally, add whipped cream.
