Bread Base

Garlic Mixture

Method

Prepare the Bread

  1. 1

    Slice the Baguette

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, creating two long pieces.

  2. 2

    Brush with Olive Oil

Drizzle olive oil over the cut sides of the baguette. Use a brush or your hands to spread the oil evenly.

  3. 3

    Season

Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the oiled surfaces of the baguette.

Prepare the Garlic Mixture

  1. 4

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely.

  2. 5

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the stick of unsalted butter.

  3. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Once melted, remove the butter from heat and stir in the minced garlic and chopped parsley until combined.

Assemble and Bake

  1. 7

    Spread Garlic Mixture

Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the baguette.

  2. 8

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese generously over the garlic butter mixture.

  3. 9

    Bake

Place the assembled baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. 10

    Broil for Crispiness

For an extra crispy top, switch the oven to broil and broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

  5. 11

    Cool and Slice

Remove from oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into pieces and serve warm.
