Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, blackening seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a 10 oz. patty, making a slight indent in the center to help it cook evenly.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the burger patty on the hot skillet or grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate pan, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Bun

While the patty is cooking, slice the burger bun in half and toast lightly, if desired.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, spread mayonnaise and mustard. Place the lettuce leaf, cooked burger patty, bleu cheese crumbles, crispy bacon, tomato slices, and pickles in that order.

  2. 8

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently.
