Pork Preparation

Method

Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pork

Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker or instant pot. Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and apple cider vinegar. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. If using an instant pot, cook on high pressure for 60 minutes and allow natural release.

  2. 2

    Shred the Pork

Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the cooker, add the BBQ sauce, and stir well to combine. Let it sit on low heat for another 30 minutes.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the coleslaw is well coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Slider Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Sliders

Take a slider bun and add a generous portion of the BBQ pork mixture. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw. Place the top half of the slider bun on top and serve immediately.
