Method
Turkey Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Turkey
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Rinse the whole turkey under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Turkey
Rub the turkey with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme. Make sure to cover the entire turkey.
- 3
Roast the Turkey
Place the turkey in a roasting pan, breast side up. Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 13-15 minutes per pound, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 4
Rest and Pull the Turkey
Once roasted, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes. After resting, use your hands or forks to pull the turkey into bite-sized pieces.
Sandwich Assembly

- 8
Serve
Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately.
