Cookie Directions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to bake the cookies evenly.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- 3
Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- 5
Combine Mixtures
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- 7
Scoop onto Baking Sheet
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
- 8
Bake the Cookies
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are soft. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
