Stuffed Calamari Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Stuffing

In a mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, pine nuts, raisins, grated Romano cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Stuff the Calamari

Gently stuff each calamari tube with the prepared stuffing, being careful not to overfill. Use toothpicks to seal the ends of the tubes.

  3. 3

    Pan-Seer the Calamari

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the stuffed calamari and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Braised in Tomato Sauce

Once the calamari is seared, add the seafood-infused tomato sauce to the skillet. Cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes, until the calamari are tender.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the calamari from the skillet and place them on a serving dish. Spoon some of the tomato sauce over the top and serve warm.
