Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Scallops

Preheat your broiler to high. Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Lay them out on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Make the Breadcrumb Topping

In a bowl, combine the bread crumbs, grated romano cheese, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Drizzle in 1 tablespoon of olive oil and mix until the crumbs are well coated.

  3. 3

    Season and Arrange

Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the scallops. Mince the garlic and sprinkle it over the scallops. Pour the white wine around the scallops.

  4. 4

    Top with Breadcrumb Mixture

Evenly distribute the breadcrumb mixture over the scallops.

  5. 5

    Broil the Scallops

Place the baking sheet under the broiler and broil for about 8-10 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and the topping is golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Serve immediately and enjoy your broiled scallops!
