Grilled Octopus Ingredients

Method

Grilled Octopus Preparation

  1. 1

    Preparing the Octopus

In a large pot, bring enough water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt. Once boiling, add the octopus and cook for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until tender. Remove from water and let it cool.

  2. 2

    Marinating the Octopus

Once the octopus is cool enough to handle, cut it into tentacle pieces. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the octopus pieces to the marinade and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Grilling the Octopus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated octopus on the grill, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side until nicely charred and heated through.

  4. 4

    Serving

Remove from the grill, drizzle with extra olive oil, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy with lemon wedges.
