Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Patty Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Add the cheddar cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 4

    Slice the Tomato

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.

Cooking the Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Oil

In a deep pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 7

    Cook the Fries

Add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes depending on the thickness. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 8

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle the fries with salt while they are still hot.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 9

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the burger patty, melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
